I don't exactly remember how I first came across an Arden + James bag. It was a few years ago when I was living in Philadelphia, and I had been wanting to find a well-made leather tote bag that really spoke to me. While it was super tempting to buy a bag from Madewell and just be done with it, I really wanted to support a fellow maker and find a piece that was truly special.
And then I found Arden + James, owned by Bri Brant. It was the buttery leather and relaxed shape that had me hooked. I am so lucky to now own two of her bags - one leather, one linen. They are the only bags I use and the only ones I really need (just don't tell my husband that!).
Here is my chat with her on my blog series, Around the Table, where I talk with and interview other designers, makers, and entrepreneurs about their connection with food, cooking, and hospitality.
